Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Data Protection and GDPR

What is GDPR?

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is the European Union regulation that modernized privacy rules for the digital age. It establishes strict requirements on how personal data must be handled to ensure security and transparency.

What is meant by 'personal data'?

Personal data is any information that allows a natural person to be identified, directly or indirectly. It includes common data such as: First and last name, Email addresses and phone numbers, Bank details and transaction data, Online data (IP addresses, access logs) and personal characteristics.

Why does GDPR concern Vudu AI Labs Sagl and Swiss companies?

Even though Vudu is based in Switzerland, the GDPR applies to any company that processes personal data of EU residents or operates in that market. Since vosia can be used by customers with contacts in the EU, Vudu guarantees compliance with these global standards.

What advantages does GDPR offer to vosia users?

The regulation gives users superior control over their information. Thanks to the principles of GDPR, the Customer has the right to know how their data is processed, to request its portability or deletion.

What changes for companies using vosia?

The GDPR requires greater accountability from companies and detailed documentation on data flows. By using compliant software like vosia, companies can simplify their compliance obligations thanks to infrastructure already prepared for data security.

Is vosia GDPR compliant?

Yes. Vudu AI Labs Sagl, as a SaaS service provider, satisfies the legal requirements set by the European Data Protection Regulation and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

What is the 'Data Processing Agreement' (DPA)?

It is the legal agreement that defines how Vudu (the data processor) handles personal data on behalf of the Customer (the data controller). It establishes the technical and organizational security measures adopted to protect information uploaded to vosia.

Do I need to enter into this contract with Vudu?

If your company processes data of EU citizens, signing a DPA is a mandatory requirement of the GDPR. To facilitate this process and ensure maximum transparency, Vudu has integrated the Data Processing Agreement directly as an appendix to its General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
